This dataset has been developed using a methodology which provides population figures consistent with official estimates at higher levels of geography - both the latest mid-year population estimates from ONS, GROS and NISRA released at local authority level, and also the ONS postcensal small area population estimates at super output area level.

Ideal for estimating the population within precise geographical areas such as drive time isochrones or catchment areas, and where the most up-to-date estimates of population are required. Counts can also be supplied aggregated to postal sector level.
