Ordnance Survey postcode and address data for geocoding of address-based data.
Code-Point® Code-Point provides a precise geographical point location for each postcode unit in the United Kingdom. A postcode unit, e.g. HP22 6PE, represents on average 15 addresses. Code-Point contains approximately 1.7 million postcode unit records. British National Grid co-ordinates for each postcode are provided, derived from the exact locations of all addresses within the postcode and accurate to within one metre of the nearest address to the centre point. Also included are the postal delivery point counts, administrative and NHS codes for each postcode. This product is widely used to geocode data to postcode level where accuracy is important but the exact location of an individual address is not required, e.g. market analysis, sales territory planning. The file is released quarterly and is available in CSV, ESRI® shapefile or MapInfo® TAB format. Single User licence: £731 plus VAT per annum. 10% Discount Available Year 1.
Code-Point® with Polygons Code-Point with Polygons provides a digital boundary for each unit postcode in Great Britain, enclosing all addresses within the postcode, and nested within the relevant Royal Mail postal sector boundary. This allows non-addressable data to be analysed on a postcode basis. It also enables geographical areas to be defined by merging of adjacent postcode boundaries. Released twice annually, this product is available in either ESRI® shapefile or MapInfo® TAB format. Single User licence: £3,292 plus VAT per annum. 10% Discount Available Year 1.

This product is released twice annually in CSV format, and can be purchased either for the whole of Great Britain or for individual Government Office Regions.
