FREE SEMINAR: Retail Network Planning in Uncertain Times, 26th March 2009 Print

Wendover, Bucks

Synopsis

Having the right retail network planning tools is as important as ever in these exceptional times. The focus for most businesses is on keeping existing outlets trading and viable, with expansion plans placed firmly on the shelf. But forecasting tools are not limited to measuring the potential of new stores.

Fighting the downturn is all about being proactive as well as reactive.  This might include rolling out new product ranges to maintain customer interest, or running in-store promotions. If something does well in one store, which other stores should it also succeed in?

And if it comes to it, which stores should you close in order to consolidate your assets? Are there certain scenarios which would play out most favourably in terms of maintaining market share and geographical coverage?

On the other hand, this is also a time of opportunity for some. Acquiring stores, or even other retail chains to build for the future. How is such investment reconciled against the existing estate?

During this seminar we will discuss the issues currently facing network planners, and present a number of tools for informed decision making, including an analogue store modeller and our new GIS-independent gravity modelling and data analysis tools.
