The Wendover Group today released GB Boundary-Map^TM, a new data product based on Ordnance Survey Boundary-Line for Great Britain,  providing a comprehensive digital map boundary dataset of administrative and electoral boundaries for Great Britain.

Based on the May release of Boundary-Line, which includes all the local authority changes of 1st April 2009, GB Boundary-Map offers a number of additional features including:

• Boundaries provided both in nested format (i.e. all sub- boundaries included) and layered, so that separate map layers are available for each boundary type.

• Boundaries are provided both separately for England, Scotland and Wales, and also aggregated to provide “GB” boundary layers which include data from all three countries of Great Britain

• GB boundaries are provided both in their original “detailed” form, with separate map objects for each geographic area (e.g. the boundary for Scotland has 2,794 separate map objects or polygons including all the Scottish islands), and also merged to provide one map object for each boundary.

• Label names are provided for the GB boundaries, allowing more concise labelleing of boundaries for improved map presentation
