PassersBuy™ is a novel new dataset for roadside site profiling. Traditionally a site's demographic potential is measured by examining the local demographics using radial, road distance or travel time but this only portrays a limited picture of the potential audience that a site may have - often it is not the resident population that are of interest but those travelling past a site instead.

PassersBuy™ provides the characteristics of different types of road users passing along any stretch of road in Great Britain. These may include:

  • Commuters profiled by their residential geo-demographic.
  • Grocery and comparison goods shoppers by residence or by store brand.
  • Bus passengers.

As an example this allows customers of a particular grocery brand to be targeted:
